EA has announced that the beta period for its new subscription service, EA Access, has officially ended and that the service should be available to all Xbox One users by the end of the day.
When the publisher unveiled the service two weeks ago it was revealed that Sony had, in fact, passed on the opportunity to host EA Access on PS4 as it believed the service didn’t offer “good value.”
Sony claimed that it had evaluated the EA Access subscription offering but ultimately decided it did “not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect.” Sony, it seems, is content to house all its subscription eggs in the PlayStation Plus basket, for now.
