Castlevania producer Dave Cox has announced that, after almost two decades with Konami, today is his last day.
"After seventeen years I have decided to leave Konami to explore new opportunities. Today is my final day with the company #endofanera," tweeted Cox earlier today. "I want to think Konami for the opportunity and all those people who supported me and the team on our journey."
Cox joined Konami in 1997. Since that time he has worked on some of Konami's biggest titles, including Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and Suikoden. But his first title to manage was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. He went on to lead the development of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, which became the best selling Castlevania game in the series and restored the reputation of the struggling franchise.
