Under the Dome: "Going Home" Review

Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow...


Hey, an improved Under the Dome episode this week. Not void of stupidity, but a brand new location and some new characters gave the show a much-needed boost. While also making me realize how much I've tired of all the people inside the dome and don't care about their day-to-day drama. Which is bad for the series overall, but good for this chapter, "Going Home," since it meant seeing less of them.


The chasm in the underground tunnel turned out to be a portal to Zenith, a neighboring burg (which also happened to be Barbie and Melanie's hometown). We don't know why the dome created this pathway (as Joe insists the tunnel is a post-dome phenomenon) but now three key players are outside of the dome and in Zenith - Barbie, Sam, and Lyle. It's also where Pauline's been living, confined to a psych ward and participating in art therapy. Sam, who seemed to have arrived in Zenith around the same time as Barbie (despite them crossing over hours apart) promptly found Pauline and told her about Melanie being alive.
