The death of Robin Williams yesterday stunned Hollywood and his fans around the world. His comedy, both stand-up and on the big and small screens, entertained generations, and his dramatic acting turns won him numerous accolades, including the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor for Good Will Hunting.
Williams was a big part of many IGN editors' childhood; for some, it was his introduction to TV audiences as the wacky alien visitor Mork, while for younger editors it was his turns as the Genie in Aladdin or as Peter Pan in Hook or perhaps Jumanji. His comedy and acting career spanned over three decades; looking over his credits, it's readily apparent that he literally made something for everyone's tastes, from kids' fare to broad comedies to character-driven psychological thrillers.
