One of the joys of Charles Soule's Swamp Thing run has been his focus on expanding the mythology of The Green and introducing new characters. This series doesn't always need to focus on Alec Holland and the Arcane family, after all. Issue #34 offers a great deal of payoff with many of the new faces Soule has introduced. This issue wraps up not only the current story arc, but much of the work Soule has done with the likes of Capucine and the three former Avatars. It's actually a lot of material to work through in such a short space, but never does this issue feel rushed or cramped.
