True Blood star Kristin Bauer van Straten is set to reprise her role as Maleficent on the upcoming season of Once Upon a Time.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Bauer is booked to return during the latter half of Season 4 of the ABC series, with EW speculating that perhaps Maleficent may be the main villain for Once Upon a Time after the Frozen storyline. The last time we saw Maleficent was during Season 2, but only in a nightmarish form - Bauer von Staten's commitment to True Blood had made it difficult for her to return to Once, after she established the character in Season 1.
