Skully has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the AR-1, its Android-powered "smart motorcycle helmet."
It may not be the first thing you think of when integrating technology into everyday objects, but it sounds like the AR-1 will definitely have its uses. The helmet projects navigational information and a rear camera view onto the inside of your visor, and you can hook it up to the internet through your phone. You can also stream music, and being able to issue voice commands will help you answer calls, hands-free.
It'll also have more conventional helmet features, such as a quick-release chin strap and a fog-, scratch-, and glare-resistant safety visor.
