Marvel's Agents of SHIELD: "T.A.H.I.T.I." Review

After a badly-timed month-long break, Agents of SHIELD was finally back this week in an installment that was entertaining, though didn’t quite continue the notably confidant feeling of the last episode.


One thing is for sure, adding Bill Paxton into the mix is never a bad thing and it was great to see the veteran actor make his debut as Agent John Garrett, a Marvel comic character who was first introduced in the classic Elektra: Assassin. Initially though, I was a big disappointed by the portrayal of Garrett, who was a fairly mundane, quippy tough guy. However, Garrett began to find his groove in the second half, especially when he deadpanned to Fitz about “the horrible death we’re walking into.” Fitz in turn had a nice showing in that sequence, not letting Garrett get to him and fighting past his nervousness.
