It's only been a week since the previous chapter of New Avengers. And apart from a shift in artist, little has changed with the addition of the ".NOW" tag. Issue #16 is no better or worse a jumping-on point than any post-Infinity installment. The basic format remains the same as many recent issues, with the Illuminati peering through the looking glass and toward another alternate Earth making its stand against an Incursion. The execution is a bit better, but the sense of familiarity and the book's overall lack of progress is really becoming grating.
