Aquaman has been a good series since its New 52 debut, but recently Jeff Parker has begun to elevate this series to a new level of greatness. It’s hard to describe exactly why, as Parker has been extremely loyal to what previous writer, Geoff Johns, has already established for this character. Parker has been infusing this series with an extra spark of personality that was present before but even more prevalent now. Issue #29 continues this trend as we get outrageously fun character moments, heart-stopping action, and the introduction of a legendary character.
