Real Heroes #1 by writer/artist Bryan Hitch is a fine example of the importance of careful and merciless editing. In this case, the book was in dire need of it. The first issue focuses on the superheroic Olympians, or rather, the actors who portray them, a group of derivative characters inspired by real celebrities (some references are more obvious than others, but they're there). Unfortunately, pages of dry info-dumping detract from what could potentially be an interesting premise.
