Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
Helix began its season finale by flashing forward some 200 days to show Alan beating the crap out of an Immortal, promising to make his life a living hell unless he tells him where "she" is. Then we get to the "Day 13" part of the episode, where the heavy-handed script has Alan insisting that torture is never justified and how they can't sink to the level of the Scythe. I mean, the very next scene, Alan is saying this. You don't have to hit us over the head, Helix. We don't know where Julia is either. Except we do, because Alan tracks her down to a big Ilaria office building. I guess she was hiding in plain sight.
