Blackout is a cool concept and a great looking comic. The thing is, it really feels like we are missing something. Something important, like two or three issues. This can't be the first issue, right? It drops you so in the middle of things with almost no explanation. Was there a #0 issue? Whatever came before this is basically required reading. I enjoyed Blackout #1 a lot, but I'd be hard pressed to tell you who these characters are or why the events of this book are important. I finished this issue and flipped back top the cover just to make sure it really said #1. It does, which is so very weird.
