Beyond his trademark face plating and cybernetic eye, his chest cavity now includes a glowing, color-changing sphere of indeterminate purpose. Kano demonstrates several fighting styles in this preview, showing off quick knife-wielding variations, classical laser attacks, grenade strikes, high-low counters, and grappling attacks.
The trailer also highlights the new Mortal Kombat X Jungle stage, a lush and lavishly-colored ruin. Low-hanging vines interact with players allowing improvisational swinging attacks, and a stone pillar in the background serves as a prop for a brutal head-bashing maneuver.
