The season premiere of Doctor Who will show up in theaters for two days in the United States this month, BBC America announced yesterday, timed to the series' return to television.
Called "Deep Breath," the feature-length premiere episode will get a theatrical release in 12 cities at midnight August 23, with another two showings happening August 25 in 550 movie theaters across the country. BBC America promises that "Deep Breath" is a thrilling episode set in Victorian London, starring Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor.
Ben Wheatley directed the season premiere of Doctor Who, with the episode written by Steven Moffat. Along with Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, Neve McIntosh, Catrin Stewart, and Dan Starkey also are starring.
