In Starz's new series, Outlander, Tobias Menzies -- known to Game of Thrones fans for his role as Edmure Tully, the groom at a certain Red Wedding -- gets to play two roles. In 1945, as the show begins, he is the good-hearted Frank Randall, husband to the lead character, Claire (Caitriona Balfe). But when Claire is transported 200 years into the past, she meets Frank's far nastier and outright dangerous ancestor, Captain Jonathan "Black Jack" Randall, also played by Menzies.
