There's hasn't been much news about the proposed remake of 1987's The Monster Squad ever since director Rob Cohen talked about wanting to helm it back in 2012.
Platinum Dunes, the production house behind the The Purge (and those recent remakes of both Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street) were to be the ones behind the remake of Fred Dekker's Kids vs. Universal Horror Monsters '80s cult movie, but recently, in a chat with Collider, Dunes' Brad Fuller and Andrew Form said the project was officially no more.
