“Eat the blue poop! It’ll help you!” Sure, it's not really a phrase you ever expect to hear, but it’s exactly the advice Chloe Skew from Turtle Rock gave me while playing as the Kraken on a new map today at Microsoft’s Gamescom Press Conference showcase. “Oh, and don’t eat the Glaciapods – they’ll keep pooping so you can get more health if you need it!”
While there were no new hunters or monsters to play around with today, there were a few new tidbits we learned about Evolve while playing the tight, compact new map: Distillery. In addition to the excrementally-helpful Glaciapods, Distillery adds three other new wonders of wildlife to the Evolve ecosphere: the giant Steamadon, the octopus-influenced Cephalodon and the elusive blitz leopard, which is both a tasty snack for the monster while serving as a nimble, predatory nuisance to the hunters.
