Dota 2 and League of Legends caught fire in a big way, and now some of the industry's biggest developers have caught MOBA fever. EA has Dawngate. Blizzard has Heroes of the Storm. Gearbox recently showed off Battleborn. The list goes on and on, but it's not as complete as it could be.
We put our skills of speculation to the test and came up with seven beloved franchises that need to be MOBAs. As far as we know, none of these are in the works. Check out our thoughts below, and then feel free to add your own ideas in the comments.
This choice almost seems too obvious. MOBAs often feature massive rosters, each with wildly different looks and abilities. The Star Wars universe is brimming with Jedi, Sith, bounty hunters, smugglers, brawlers, and crazy death robots -- all of which are distinct and could have different play styles in a battle arena.
