Unity #9 Review

With the main storyline ramping up in the pages of Armor Hunters, Unity has begun to feel a bit like Armor Hunters Lite, focusing on the smaller moments happening behind the scenes. Luckily, Matt Kindt uses said opportunity to great effect, showcasing different members of the team in increasingly interesting ways. The result is a smaller, yet no less interesting, affair.

Following last issue's heavy focus on the alien Hunters, issue #9 turns it's attention back to the team at hand, putting particular emphasis on Livewire and budding buddies Ninjak and Gilad. Though these scenes don't always serve to further the narrative, each is compelling in its own way, offering insight that would otherwise be left unsaid. Livewire's self assessment is particularly impactful, especially given the nature of the events currently unfolding.
