Sharknado 2 Review

Whether you asked for it or not, Syfy's Sharknado is back. To create some more snark-nado online, as live-tweeting and live-blogging essentially made the first installment a can't-miss experience.


Please be advised though, I'm going to give this squeal a "bad" score. The word next to whatever number I pick will not be favorable. But Sharknado 2, like its predecessor, is meant to be bad. Its sole purpose is to be mocked. So if it is indeed terrible then... that's good, right? It will have succeeded. It will have fulfilled its unspoken mission statement of giving us top-notch bats*** absurdity.


Sharknado 2 is performed by both stars whose celebrity factor faded long ago and those who, well, you'll actually be surprised joined in on the fun. For every "Downtown" Julie Brown appearing as a nurse, there's a Robert Klein as the mayor. For every Kari Wuhrer (yes, old school MTV is a big contributor) as Ian Ziering's sister, there's a Matt Lauer and Al Roker as themselves. Wil Wheaton (with wife, Anne), Kurt Angle, Biz Markie, Andy Dick. Everyone gets in on the shark stabbing.
