Indie developers and publishers are rallying to donate money to the financially troubled LGBT-focused gaming convention GaymerX, with many of the companies announcing their support on Twitter and encouraging others to do the same.
The support follows GaymerX CEO Matt Conn’s revelation on Twitter yesterday, tweet since removed, that publisher NIS America could allegedly no longer honor a $3,000 official sponsorship agreement for next year’s GaymerX VIP party.
Beginning with Hotline Miami publisher Devolver Digital, numerous game industry companies have since announced $3,000 sponsorship pledges for next year’s GaymerX convention, including Gunman Clive creator Bertil Hornberg, Goat Simulator developer Coffee Stain Studios, Tinsley PR’s Stephanie Tinsley Schopp and Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell.
