Legend of Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto mentioned that Nintendo has unannounced ideas for another 3DS game in the franchise at a shareholders meeting last month.
Speaking with investors during a Q&A session, Miyamoto said that Nintendo is attempting to "evolve the series" and reached the halfway point with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. While the company is continuing the structure changes with Zelda on Wii U, Miyamoto said there are also secret ideas brewing for another series entry on 3DS.
"... We are gradually changing the structure of The Legend of Zelda series, and we are preparing to newly evolve the series for Wii U," said Miyamoto. "In addition to that, we have ideas for Nintendo 3DS which we have not announced yet, so I hope you will look forward to them."
