Xbox One enjoyed a successful first weekend on sale in the UK.
Hardware outsold its predecessor – Xbox 360 – two-to-one when you launch periods are compared. This success also translated into game sales, with 10 of the console's 16 launch titles appearing in the UK Top 40. (It's worth noting the chart only recognises physical retail sales, not digital downloads.)
The Xbox One sent FIFA 14 back to the top of the charts, following a seven week absence. It was also the best-selling Xbox One game in the UK, though this figure is slightly skewed with it being included in many Day One edition bundles. Battlefield also experienced an Xbox One sales boost.
Other launch titles performed strongly with Forza 5 appearing at number 5, Dead Rising 3 staggered into number 7, and Ryse: Son of Rome closed the top 10.
