Note: Full spoilers for Family Guy's most recent episode follow! You've been warned!
Family Guy certainly got a lot of attention this week, as the show delivered the big death the producers first promised back at Comic-Con this summer. The death of Brian Griffin was highly unusual for a long-running animated series, taking out one of the core family members. Will Brian's death truly be permanent? We shall see (and Jim Vejvoda and I discuss that topic in the video below).
In the meantime, we asked you, the IGN reader, what your first reaction was to Brian's death, assuming it is going to be retained. And the results were clear...
Yes, 46.15%, nearly half of those polled, said they flat out hated killing Brian, and the runner up choice were those who are wary of the decision and feel it will likely be a mistake. Suffice to say, those who were more optimistic about the death of Brian storyline being the right move were in the minority, with 14.47% saying they were at least intigued and curious to see what happens, while the smallest portion of those polled, 6.4%, were outright excited by the choice.
