Warner Bros has now confirmed that LEGO: The Hobbit will be coming out in Spring 2014 on all the usual formats for LEGO games – that means 3DS, PS Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Mac.
However, the game will only include levels based on the first two films from the trilogy - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the soon to be released Desolation of Smaug. The third film – There and Back Again – will not be covered, since it won't be released in cinemas until December 2014.
Original story follows below...
The second installment of The Hobbit film trilogy is only a few short weeks away — and now rumors are building that we may see a LEGO The Hobbit game as early as next year. As Brickfan reports, a picture leaked that shows artwork for an unannounced LEGO The Hobbit game in French. Although the game hasn't been officially confirmed yet, the ad will reportedly appear in the back of instruction manuals for 2014 LEGO The Hobbit sets.
