With a title like "The Thanksgiving Decoupling," it was a fair assumption that one of the couples on the show would be splitting up. After all, no matter how long they're together, Penny and Leonard are always one crisis away from another breakup. And there's always the possibility that Amy will develop a little self respect and kick Sheldon's to the curb. Or maybe Raj and Stuart would experience some hitch in their bromance.
But any of those outcomes would have been a needlessly depressing way for the gang to celebrate Thanksgiving. And luckily, that's not the route this episode took. If anything, all the couples emerged from their holiday hardships even stronger than before. I don't think we've ever seen Amy happier than when she got slapped on the ass by a drunk Sheldon.
