Miracleman Finally Returns... in 2016

My five-year-old knows about Miracleman… well, he knows the very watered-down and censored version of the character that I’ve told him about. ("I beat him! … Me, Kid Miraclem... an."). But it’s funny, because I bet there aren’t many younger fans out there these days who have heard of the character, let alone read his great run by legend Alan Moore from back in the ’80s (and then the early ’90s when Neil Gaiman took over).


Hopefully that’s about to change, as Marvel -- who finally obtained the rights to Miracleman in 2009 after years of legal issues -- is meticulously remastering the original issues and will begin releasing them this January. But in a new interview with Comic Book Resources, Marvel’s CCO Joe Quesada revealed that new adventures featuring Miracleman won’t hit until 2016, when Neil Gaiman and artist Mark Buckingham will finally get the chance to finish their storyline which was abruptly cut off when Eclipse Comics went under in 1993.
