Following the PS4 version of Battlefield 4's launch issues, developer DICE acknowledged the widespread problems in a blog post, and is offering players incentives to play next week.
The 1.50 firmware update on the PS4 caused problems playing certain game types, connecting to a number of servers, and even playing properly on PSN. DICE writes that it's hard at work fixing the existing problems, and won't move on to any other projects until the issues are resolved.
"I am extremely proud of the people at DICE and everyone across EA that contributed to the development of Battlefield 4," Karl Magnus Troedsson, DICE general manager, writes. "However, I am less proud to see that the game has experienced some turbulence during the launch period. While some platforms have had only minor problems, others have had more than their fair share of issues. Resolving the launch issues is our #1 priority."
