Nokia Lumia owners, get ready for Windows Phone 8.1. Starting today, the Lumia Cyan update will start rolling out along with the latest version of Microsoft's smartphone operating system.
Windows Phone 8.1 brings with it a number of notable improvements and in our review we felt that they were all changes for the better, making for a more complete OS.
So what's coming with the new version of Windows Phone? First off, Action Center finally brings a unified notification system and quick access to settings via a pull down shade. The keyboard has also been updated to allow swipe typing, the tiles of the home screen can now share one background image, and you can also adjust how many columns are shown on the home screen. Cortana is also included for those in the United States, adding a virtual assistant that's a combination of Apple's Siri and Android's Google Now feature.
