The ability to pre-purchase games on Xbox One is coming soon, according to Sunset Overdrive developer Insomniac Games.
In the latest edition of Sunset TV, Insomniac's Brandon Winfrey answers a viewer email about digitally pre-ordering the Xbox One exclusive game. Winfrey acknowledged that players can't digitally pre-purchase the game yet but says "soon you will be able to." He also explained that Day One Edition bonuses will come to digital pre-orders, as well as a "nifty-gifty exclusive."
This comes on the heels of Head of Xbox Phil Spencer promising that pre-purchasing and pre-downloading features are still planned for Xbox One at E3 last month. "Pre-buy, pre-download are all things we look at as important to our long term success," Spencer said at the time. While Insomniac didn't touch on pre-downloading, it's not far-fetched to believe both enhancements could come to Xbox One at the same time.
