Note: Spoilers follow for Orphan Black: Season 2.
Orphan Black came into Season 2 with a lot more attention, having gained quite the passionate online fanbase not only during the run of its first season but after it ended, as more people caught on to the addictive series about a woman discovering she is one of many clones. That meant the series went from being a nice underdog story of a small show finding acclaim and adoration to something that suddenly had to Live Up to Expectations, which can always be tough - hence the term "sophomore slump."
In general, Season 2 was another very strong run of TV episodes, with continually entertaining, offbeat moments and a never-ending supply of fantastic performances (yes, the plural is needed) by Tatiana Maslany. It was funny, it was twisted and it was sometimes quite intense.
