It's the next to last day of filming for Season 2 of the Netflix original series Hemlock Grove, and while no one seems panicked or stressed, the mood is intense. Bill Skarsgård (Roman Godfrey), Madeline Brewer (Miranda Cates), Landon Liboiron (Peter Rumancek), and Tiio Horn (Destiny Rumancek) are working on a complex and emotionally charged scene, involving stunts. They're serious one second and joking in-between takes the next as the crew resets. I do my best to stay out of the paths of busy cast and crew rushing about while taking it all in. Hemlock Grove has definitely gone through some transformations since Season 1.
When we last visited the Twin Peaks-esque town in Pennsylvania, Peter and his mother ditched town, Shelley disappeared, Roman had bit off his mother Olivia's (Famke Janssen) tongue and triggered his transformation into a full-blown Upir, and oh by the way, he learned Letha's daughter was actually his daughter. The occurrences in the Season 1 finale were heavy-hitting, shocking, and bound to have repercussions across the cast.
