Bringing a fresh spin to an already successful formula is how you help advance a genre. Startup developer Motiga hopes to break away from the traditional laning found in most MOBAs, or multiplayer online battle arenas like League of Legends and Smite, and inject a beautiful, competitive title to the mix with its own free-to-play third-person action battle arena game, Gigantic.
Why the name? At least in the one map I got to play, the Temple of Mist, the ultimate goal of your five-man team isn't to destroy a base, but rather to work together with your, well, gigantic mythical guardian to bring down the guardian of the other team before they can defeat yours.
