In its 13-year run, 24 has taught us many things – mainly about distrusting our co-workers, the government, other governments, computers, the military, cougars and anyone soundtracked by a foreign-sounding instrument. But perhaps most importantly of all, 24 taught us to suspend our disbelief. And by 'suspend', we mean kick our disbelief off the top of a tall crane with a steel cable round its neck, then go back to watching 24 while it jerks to a stop 50 feet below with a crack.
