The folks at Pixar hope to continue the trend of bringing emotional depth to everyday objects/nature with their next short "Lava." The film will open in front of Inside Out, and it looks to chronicle the love story between moutnains Uku and Lele over millions of years.
According to the LA Times, director James Ford Murphy -- who has worked with Pixar in their animation department since A Bug's Life -- got the idea for the seven-minute short while honeymooning on Hawaii's Big Island more than 20 years ago.
