Today, a source pointed IGN to a website that indicates a group of ex-Call of Duty developers have gotten together to form a new studio, and are on the verge of announcing their new endeavor.
The new development house is called Reload Studios, and its leadership is currently made up of five industry veterans, including four former employees of tenure at Infinity Ward, the studio famous for pioneering the Call of Duty franchise. (Infinity Ward created Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Call of Duty: Ghosts.)
One founding member of the team is James Chung, who worked on the Call of Duty franchise. He brought along with him Taehoon Oh, who worked on six separate Call of Duty games over a decade long span, Pete Blumel, a producer who worked on the Modern Warfare and Ghost games, and Hougant Chen, who worked on various Call of Duty titles, as well as Kaos Studios’ shooter Homefront.
