Building off their already stellar debut, creators Joshua Williamson and Mike Henderson deliver another knockout issue that truly is a nightmare come to life.
Opening amidst the famous trial that saw the notorious Nailbiter go free, writer Williamson continues his incredible pacing, weaving a slow and deliberate narrative that gets more suspenseful with every turn of the page. A character snarks that this isn't Silent of the Lambs, but it does share that same sense of dread, that fear of what's on the other side of a closed door. Crane and Finch make for an engaging pair, the hotheadedness of the latter offset by the steely patience of the former. Sheriff Crane's link to the Nailbiter is intriguing, the killer clearly able to get under her skin, no pun intended.
