Tom “The Ghost” Mason gets called out by the Espheni who want to put an end to his attempted uprising in the human ghettos. This serves Tom just fine as he needs an excuse to get onto the Espheni craft hovering overhead so he can get a better look at the layout of the compound.
There’s a lot going on in the scene between Tom and the Espheni who is currently acting as their jailor. After three seasons we are only told now that the Espheni left their galaxy and have been gathering resources because there is an even greater threat that is coming for them all. So there is another potential alien race looming in the near future? That has me a little hesitant considering how many new variables they’ve already introduced in the past couple of seasons already. Yet part of me is kind of excited because the fight against the Espheni was becoming a little stale anyways. Still, I thought the whole Lexi storyline was going to remedy that. An entirely new threat? That completely alters the playing field and I fear this may eventually lead to an actual Espheni-Human team up with the Volm or some other crazy scenario. Of course, right now, that’s mad speculation. For now, I’ll remain a little hesitant with some degree of optimism that this could turn into something really exciting.
