PlayStation Now will be available on Sony 4K TVs, and certain 1080p models beginning June 30th.
As announced on Sony’s blog, owners of those TVs will only need a Dualshock 3 controller to play the PlayStation 3 titles offered on Sony’s streaming game service – no console required. Sony is calling this their Private Pilot Service.
PlayStation Now has been in a closed beta, with a handful of games offered with several pricing tiers, depending on the length of the rental. Sony says there will be an open beta for PlayStation 4 on July 31st. The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita will also get an open beta, though no date has yet been announced.
