Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow...
I didn't see the actual Under the Dome intro for last week's season premiere because I watched the episode on a press screener. But this week, watching live, I saw it. And I know that if you add up all the actual days and nights that have taken place on the show the calculation is probably accurate. But there's still something so ridiculous about hearing Barbie's narration start with "Two weeks ago..."
Yes, everything that's happened so far on the series, from the pilot episode till now, has taken place over a two week period. No, Under the Dome's not the only show to have ever dealt with condensed time (True Blood does this too, but it also shakes things up with big time jumps), but given how many characters have switches sides and allegiances so far, and how many random threats the citizens have faced from the dome, it all seems laughable. Which is to say that maybe this isn't something the show needs to state out loud at the top of every episodes. Especially with the younger actors aging from season to season.
