This Week in the Nintendo eShop

Remember when we used to be upset that nothing was coming out each week on Nintendo systems? Well, it almost seems like it was building to this. This week features a half-dozen new Wii U eShop games in addition to an awesome GBA Virtual Console title in Mario Tennis: Power Tour and a number of interesting 3DS eShop games. Guacamelee can scratch your Metroid itch, Armillo can scratch your 3D platformer itch, and Bombing Bastards can scratch your chaotic five-player multiplayer itch.


Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition ($14.99)


DrinkBox Studios' Metroid-inspired brawler platformer comes to Wii U with a number of enhancements in the Super Turbo Championship Edition. Playing as a luchador who is on a mission to save El Presidente's daughter, you go between the World of the Living and the World of the Dead collecting power-ups and uncovering secrets while beating the tar out of a variety of skeletons. You can scope out the map on the Wii U GamePad and even play co-op locally.
