Operation Breakout Adds Six New Maps to Global Offensive

The best community maps are getting the spotlight with Counter-Strike Global Offensive's Operation Breakout.

The six maps active during the operation include:

• Blackgold – A fast-paced map set on top of an oil rig


• Castle – A nighttime map with room-to-room and exterior fighting


• Insertion – A large open map with non-linear hostage rescue


• Mist – Vertical, close-quarters combat on a rainy mountaintop


• Overgrown – A map with a contested middle in an old shipyard


• Rush – A jungle with a blend of long and close-ranged combat

All six player-created maps are available in casual, deathmatch and competitive modes until Oct. 2, according to the Global Offensive site. Players that purchase the all-access pass for $6 USD can track their statistics and progress with the Operation Journal and challenge coin, and have access to exclusive Operation Case drops. Lastly, Operation Breakout also includes three new reward collections form which players can earn 45 new weapon camouflages.
