343 Industries has confirmed the Halo 2 multiplayer map Coagulation will be joining Ascension in getting remastered for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Announced over this weekend at RTX, 343 is planning on reimagining six multiplayer maps from throughout the series for the Xbox One bundle coming later this year. For those not in the know Coagulation was itself a remake of the popular Blood Gulch map from Halo: Combat Evolved.
We're still waiting on screenshots of the remastered map so, for the time being, here's some concept art.
That wasn't the only revamp to be announced this weekend though, with the developer also revealing the familiar Mongoose vehicle is set to get some upgrades, primarily in the form of firepower. The new Gungoose will even have its own mode, Gungoose CTF, with the new and improved Coagulation highlighted as an ideal map on which to test it out.
