EA has been sending emails out to Origin gamers advising that their digitally registered copies of The Sims 2 will no longer be eligible for tech support as of July 22.
The only exception to this is The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, which EA is now gifting to Sims 2 players. To remain eligible for tech support, you'll have to transfer your save files into the Ultimate Edition. Once you've done this, EA also suggests "hiding" your previous version of The Sims 2 from your Origin library.
