Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, the first Dragon Ball movie in 17 years, will be coming to nearly 800 theaters when it arrives in the United States and Canada next month. That’s more than double what was previously announced.
Anime distributor FUNimation Entertainment and Screenvision have partnered with Fathom Events to add additional North American theaters to the 350 already committed to showing the new movie on August 5, 6, 7, and 9. (No Friday showings so you’ll have plenty of time to catch both Battle of Gods and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premiere on August 8th.) The extra 450 or so theaters will host showings on August 5 and 6 only.
