The fifth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise is looking to bring in some new blood, as Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) and Rebecca Ferguson (The White Queen) are reportedly circling the film.
According to Deadline, Baldwin -- a former Jack Ryan actor in 1990's The Hunt for Red October -- would play a "high-ranking CIA officer" who is in charge of Ethan Hunt's (Tom Cruise) division.
It's curious that Baldwin's character is reported as a CIA officer, when Hunt and Co. have traditionally operated under the Impossible Missions Force (IMF).
