The penultimate episode of The 100’s first season had a lot of elements in motion, which got increasingly intense as the hour progressed.
The material on the Ark, dealing with everyone trying to process having just 51 hours left to live, was strong, though it could have used a little more screen time, as it felt a bit truncated. There was some nice material for Abby, as she broke down over the thought of dying with Clarke hating her, and it was a nice touch to have Jaha get his eureka moment watching a video of Wells and Clarke as kids. I just wish we could have gotten more insight into what was going through Kane’s mind during all this, beyond his quest to keep looking for a way out. Still, the idea of the Ark itself crashing to the Earth, as a last-ditch effort to save those onboard, is a cool one.
