Even while reports, leaked photos and additional casting is coming in from the now-filming Star Wars: Episode VII, the floodgates are opening on the additional Star Wars movies we'll be getting soon beyond the new trilogy. On the heels of revealing Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) was directing the first of the upcoming standalone Star Wars movies, Lucasfilm have now announced that Josh Trank will direct yet another of these new films.
"We're thrilled to welcome Josh into the family," says Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy in a statement. "He is such an incredible talent and has a great imagination and sense of innovation. That makes him perfectly suited to Star Wars, and for this new slate of movies that reach beyond the core characters and storylines of Episodes I through IX."
