Indie developer Cleavesoft announced EarthNight, a roguelike runner with a hand-painted aesthetic, today, and will be showing the game's first demo at Sony's E3 booth next week.
EarthNight alternates between two sections: a skydiving sequence that doubles as a level select, and frantic, fast-paced 2D platforming with a two-button control scheme, according to the PlayStation Blog. The simple controls notwithstanding, Cleavesoft is quick to stress that the underlying gameplay will be difficult to master.
Every element of EarthNight's visual style is painted by Paul Davey, a digital artist known for his works on sites like Deviantart, while the chiptune music is composed by Chipocrite. One of the tracks can be heard in the trailer below.
